WhatsApp Business + Kalem

Send and receive WhatsApp text and voice notes.

Kalem agents can be reached over WhatsApp via the Twilio WhatsApp API. Voice notes are transcribed automatically; replies can be text or voice. Customers can escalate from WhatsApp to a phone call without losing context.

Setup

  1. Approve a WhatsApp sender in your Twilio account.
  2. In Kalem → Settings → Integrations, add your Twilio WhatsApp number.
  3. Bind the WhatsApp integration to an agent.
  4. Test with a sandbox number before going live.
