Twilio + Kalem

Bring your own Twilio Elastic SIP Trunk and Twilio numbers.

Connect any Twilio Elastic SIP Trunk to Kalem and route inbound or outbound calls to your AI voice agents. You keep direct billing with Twilio for telephony minutes; Kalem only charges the $0.04/min engine fee.

Setup

  1. Create an Elastic SIP Trunk in the Twilio console.
  2. Add Kalem's Origination URI to the trunk: sip:trunk@sip.kalem.me
  3. Whitelist Kalem's media IP range on the trunk's ACL.
  4. In Kalem, go to Trunks → Add Trunk → Twilio and paste your trunk SID + auth token.
  5. Assign one or more Twilio phone numbers to your agent.
